Lake Blue Ridge Trail – A flat trail that is perfect for beginners or families with children. It is rated EASY and is only 6/10 of a mile long. Though it is a short hike, it follows the shoreline of the lake and is very beautiful. Picnic tables at the beginning/ending of trail.

Green Mountain Trail – A pleasant 3.3 mile hike or mountain bike ride with beautiful views of Lake Blue Ridge almost the entire way after cresting the mountain top.

Bear Creek Trail- This is one of the most popular trails in the area.  It is located near the Cohutta Wilderness Area.  It is a loop with an extension that is of the intermediate difficulty.  The highlights of the trail include views, a nearby waterfall, wildlife openings, very steep uphill, tricky creek crossings, and a huge popular tree named the "Genett Popular."  (Intermediate difficulty)

Red & White Loop- This is a beginners trail.  Its about 2.6 miles in length, located near the River Loop.  the level trail consists of gated forest service roads.  this is one of the flatest mountain trails in the North Georgia Mountains.  Watch for the wildflowers in the fields in the spring.  (Beginners)

Whitewater Rafting – Choose your rafting trip from three rivers:

Nantahala River – Recommended for beginners. Children must weigh at least 60 pounds.

Ocoee River and the Chatooga River are ideal for more advanced rafters and feature larger rapids.

Tubing – Float down the Toccoa River on a tube and enjoy the cool, clean water. Tube rentals are available as well as transportation to pick you up at the end of your ride. Toccoa Valley Campground, 10 miles out Aska Road. 706-838-4317

Boating – Lake Blue Ridge is an 11 mile long crystal clear lake surrounded by mountains. There is a marina on the lake which offers pontoon boat rentals. Or bring your own boat or jet ski and keep it in a slip in the marina. There are boat ramps at various locations on the lake. Lake Blue Ridge Marina 706-632-2618

Boating-Carters Lake.  This is a full service marina with pontoon and houseboat rentals available.  Carters Lake is preserved in it natural, pristine state.  Sixty two miles of shoreline wrap around 3500 acres of water to form an 11 mile long boaters paradise. 706-276-4891

Amicaloa Falls- One of Georgia's most popular state parks.  729 foot falls, the tallest east of the Mississippi River.  Activities include, Hiking 12 miles of trails, picnicking, and Trout fishing.  Facilities include:  Resturant, gift shop, Pioneer campground, rope course, visitors center and RV campsites.

Fishing – Trout fishing is a popular sport in the mountains. Our area abounds with trout streams, some are even stocked by the government. Fightingtown Creek and the Toccoa River are world renowned for excellent trout fishing.
 

Horseback Riding – Well trained horses, beautiful scenery and rides for different skill levels. Offered 7 days a week:
11:00am – 2 hour ride
2:00 pm – 2 hour ride
4:30 pm – 1 hour ride
2:00 pm only on Sundays
Rides are $35 per rider on the level 1 and 2 trails and $45 on the level 3 trail. The 1 hour rides are only $25 per rider.

Blue Ridge Scenic Railway – A round trip excursion train ride along the Toccoa River to the Tennessee state line. Call for pricing and schedule. 706-632-9833
